David Wing | What Photography Used To Be, Until Now

I like to imagine that I am not from around here, that I recently survived a forced landing on this planet. Disoriented, I dusted myself off and went out exploring – mapping and gathering data on the local life and landscape. You see, I have been working up a report which I hope will find its way back to my home world. Therefore, my “theme” is wide open; new material is always all around me. My pictures do not have a “style” but I trust that they, in my way, will describe the character of this life, this place, and if graceful, this explorer.

My photographs began around 1957. My accessible archive begins in 1970. I will post some of these pictures from time to time, in no particular order, when they come forward as I edit and sequence various threads and projects.

At present, I am posting Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:51am, with occasional additional pictures at 9:00am over a weekend.
